I've been having the same issues as those shown above. I purchased a new iMac after the first of the year which is running Monterey 12.2.1. I am able to download from sites other than YouTube but when I try YouTube it gets partway through the download and then the remaining time keeps increasing and it never finishes so I have to cancel it. The Jaksta version says 3.0.0 (315)
I just deleted my old Firefox and installed latest version and it is doing the same thing.
Thank you for any help as I've had Media Recorder for several years and found it to be one my best and favorite applications.

Apologies for the delayed response.
We have a new beta available that we are hoping will address some of these issues.

When you first attempt to run the installer you will receive a Mac OS notification saying that it can't be opened because it cannot be checked for malicious software. Click 'OK' and then go to System Preferences > Security & Privacy > General and click on 'Open Anyway' down the bottom. It will either run the installer or another similar notification as the first will appear and you just need to click 'Open' and then the installer will run.
Please let me know if the problems continue and we can troubleshoot further. This thread is getting a bit long and varied, so please make a new forum post specific to your issue if needed.

Have you tried deleting the installer and then downloading it again? It may have become corrupted during the original download.

I installed the new beta version and it seems to work. The downloads are pretty slow, but that is not necessary caused by Jaksta. Need some time to figure that out. I'll let you know about the progress.

I commented 4 days ago and finally had time to try Jaksta Media Recorder again. No luck-same problem I had before. Running Monterey 12.2.1 and Jaksta 3.0.2 and it starts download and then all of a sudden the remaining time goes up and up and finally quits downloading. This was from YouTube and tried something from Facebook also.
Most interesting though is I opened my MacBook Air which is running 10.13.6 and Jaksta 2.2.6 and was able to download from YouTube and Facebook.

In a new forum post, could you please provide us with a link to some problem YouTube videos that you are experiencing this issue with, so that we can test them ourselves?

in the meanwhile I deleted the old version of Jaksta Media Recorder and installed the Beta again, but the same problem during the installation process: Installation failed. The installation failed due to an error. Contact to the manufacturer of the software.

the new Beta works fine now.
The only problem still is, that Jaksta Media Recorder can’t download videos from a website that needs a username and password to enter. If I key in those data, the video plays in the browser window, but Jaksta Media Recorder can’t download it.

Have you tried using any different browsers to capture from the site that requires a login? This often resolves failed capture issues.

Tried uninstalling the old version with AppZapper and installed the beta-version after restarting my MacBook Pro. Nothing helps. No youtube clip allows to be downloaded and gives an error. Jaksta Media Recorder has become totally useless. The message I get you see in the attachment.
It's so annoying.
