Hi Rod,
Generally subtitles cannot be captured if they are a separate file, as Jaksta can only capture the data embedded in a stream (usually only video and audio).
If the subtitles are part of the video then they will be included in the capture. If they are a separate track that is synced with the video then they will not be captured.

Liam
Jaksta Support
Liam, please tell me the trick you're using. I am making the caption (subtitles) part of the video as open captions. Setting captions to "on" before clicking the "record" icon results in NO captions actually being recorded. This has happened on both Hulu and ShowtimeAnytime. When I watch the same video on a plain browser and set captions to "on", I see them, so the DVR must be blocking them.
Hi there,
This thread and the forum that it's in are only applicable to the Mac version of Jaksta, which is quite different to the Windows version in both it's features and how it functions.
Anything said here should not be assumed relevant to the Windows products. You will need to seek support for this issue on the Windows tech support forums.
Sorry I cannot be of more assistance.
Regards
Liam

Can videos be recorded to include closed caption tracks?
