Hi Michael,
We are aware of this issue and are investigating. Are you able to tell us if you are using an M1 Mac or not?
We have a new beta available, but so far it does not resolve the broken connection issues in Safari. It should however help minimise issues when running Jaksta with Chrome of Firefox.
You can download the beta here: https://download.shedworx.com/jaksta/beta/3.0.0_316/JakstaMediaRecorder.pkg
When you first attempt to run the installer you will receive a Mac OS notification saying that it can't be opened because it cannot be checked for malicious software. Click 'OK' and then go to System Preferences > Security & Privacy > General and click on 'Open Anyway' down the bottom. It will either run the installer or another similar notification as the first will appear and you just need to click 'Open' and then the installer will run.
Please let me know how you go.
Regards
Liam

I'm running a Retina 5K, 27-inch, 2017, (sadly) not an M1. I don't use Chrome or Firefox.
I just wanted to follow up and see if there were any new versions for Safari on Mac. I'm currently running Mac OS 12.3 and Safari 15.4. It's been 4 months and I haven't seen anything. I just tried installing the link from above (beta 23.0.0_316) and it would not install. Thank you.
Hi Michael,
Apologies for the delayed response.
We have a new beta available that we are hoping will address some issues.
You can download the installer here: https://download.shedworx.com/jaksta/beta/3.0.2_302/JakstaMediaRecorder.pkg

Liam, I have same issue running Monterey 12.3. After following your steps I receive message saying installation failed, contact the company for help.
Thanks for your help.
Evans
Hi Liam, I have the same problem with the same configuration like Evans: MAC, Monterey 12.3 and since a week I can't download anything from YouTube f.i.
Hi all,
Can you please try doing the installation again using the same instruction I provided previously, except use this link to download the installer for a new beta: https://download.shedworx.com/jaksta/beta/3.0.2_303/JakstaMediaRecorder.pkg
We are hoping the installation issue will be resolved. Please let me know how you go.

Thanks Liam, It is working now!
Liam,
Installed and running nicely. Only issue I have is the downloaded media track does not have correct name. Each track is named 480p.mp4 or 720p.mp4. Any idea what I’m not doing right?
Evans
Hi Evans,
Have you tried doing the captures in different browsers? The browser can often affect how the stream is presented and this can impact what Jaksta picks up as the name.
Using a different browser can often give a different result.

L'installation sous mac os 12.3.1 a échoué ! De surcroît, le logiciel ne reconnait plus ma licence ! Damned ! Que faire ?
Hi Bernard,
Apologies for the delayed response.

I downloaded the new beta, but when I launch it the "About Jaksta Media Recorder" says it is Version 3.0.2 ((309). Am I doing something wrong?
I downloaded the new beta but my app says it is version 3.0.2. Is that correct? Did I install it wrong?
Support Migration
Since upgrading to the latest Mac OS, Jaksta has stopped working. Once the app is launched, the stream freezes and nothing happens until Jaksta is closed down.
