Downloading and installing the Beta version has not resolved the issue either.
Hi there,
We are aware of this issue and are investigating. Are you able to tell us if you are using an M1 Mac or not?
We have a new beta available, but it does not resolve the Safari specific issue you are encountering. It should however help minimise issues when running Jaksta with Chrome of Firefox. The toggling of the monitoring in Jaksta and the resulting page and connection restoration/break is expected behaviour for this kind of issue, so don't get too concerned about that.
You can download the beta here: https://download.shedworx.com/jaksta/beta/3.0.0_316/JakstaMediaRecorder.pkg
When you first attempt to run the installer you will receive a Mac OS notification saying that it can't be opened because it cannot be checked for malicious software. Click 'OK' and then go to System Preferences > Security & Privacy > General and click on 'Open Anyway' down the bottom. It will either run the installer or another similar notification as the first will appear and you just need to click 'Open' and then the installer will run.

Jaksta Support
Thank you for the reply Liam. I have tried the new Beta in Firefox & can confirm that it does work.
My Mac is not an M1 Mac, it is a 2017 iMac.
I have the same problem. Running Mac OS 12.4. July 2022.
Hi Kreiss,

As of yesterday, Jaksta has stopped recording all streams via Safari. Any attempt to record a stream results in Safari displaying a 'this connection is not private' error message and blocking all attempts. Turning Media Recorder off and refreshing the page restores access - turning it back on again immediately results in the same Safari error message.
Safari v15.1
Mac OS 12.0.1
Jaksta Media Record v2.2.5
