Hi Harry,
Yes I can see what you are getting at. I will make a note for our devs to try and address and improve the Dark Mode.

In dark mode, running Version 3.0.0 (315) the screen is dark. on Jaksta ver 2.2.6 I didn't have this issue.
Hi James,
Can you please provide a screenshot of what you are experiencing? I cannot tell from your description if it is different to what Harry and I have experienced.

Liam,
here is a screenshot of when I have macOS dark mode enabled.
Hi James,
in the screenshot, is the list empty or are there download/captured items listed that are hidden?

Liam,
I don't have a problem with capturing. The image I sent to you is my screen is dark. I'm using macOS dark mode. Is there a setting for setting the screen to white?
Hi James,
Jaksta will respect whatever the theme is set to in your System Preferences. It does not have the ability to be set to light or dark mode itself and will always adapt to the set theme.

Liam,
Understood, ver 2.26 kept the white screen when dark mode was enabled.
Hi James and Harry,
Apologies for the delayed response.
We have a new beta available that includes an improved dark mode experience.
You can download the installer here: https://download.shedworx.com/jaksta/beta/3.0.2_302/JakstaMediaRecorder.pkg
When you first attempt to run the installer you will receive a Mac OS notification saying that it can't be opened because it cannot be checked for malicious software. Click 'OK' and then go to System Preferences > Security & Privacy > General and click on 'Open Anyway' down the bottom. It will either run the installer or another similar notification as the first will appear and you just need to click 'Open' and then the installer will run.
Please let me know if the problem continues and we can troubleshoot further.
Regards
Liam

Support Migration
I just installed Media Recorder 2.2.6 on my Mac Mini running the latest MacOS Big Sur.
My Mac environment is set to dark mode in the evenings.
The new version of JMR is confused about dark mode:
it correctly displays window frame and background as black
BUT it is also displaying the text in black. I.e. Black on black !!!
There seems to be no way for users to change this.
(I recall that when dark mode was introduced several years ago, some other third party apps were similarly confused.)
PLEASE FIX THIS PROBLEM, WHICH MAKES JMR UNUSABLE.
PS The old version, 2.2.5, was not confused; it always displayed the window in light mode. :D
