Music not copying from Media Recorder to iTunes

I am seeing music uploads come into media player fully downloaded with no issues, with the "Add to Itunes" selection made on the bottom margin, and the bar on the media player shows "sent to iTunes" yet the music is not showing up into Itunes. I have thoroughly searched in iTunes  This was recently working and now its not. Can you assist?

Hi Mark,

What Mac OS are you running? Have you updated to Catalina recently by any chance?

Hi Mark,

This may be a permissions issue.

If you go into System Preferences > Security & Privacy > Automation and then find Jaksta Media Recorder in the list and make sure TV and Music are ticked on. If they already are try unticking them and then re-ticking them. Do the same for any other Jaksta products listed - Music Recorder, Converter, Screen Recorder.

If you receive any notifications prompting for permissions whilst running Jaksta, make sure to select 'Allow'.

I believe at that point it should start working as you'd like. Please let me know again if that is not the case.

Also, be aware that you might get some errors coming up in the TV and Music apps when the monitoring in Jaksta is still active, and that's because there is a conflict with the proxy settings configured by Jaksta. All you need to do is turn the monitoring in Jaksta OFF.

Please let me know if you continue to have problems after this.

Hi Liam,

This has also been a problem for me.  When I go to Automation, I have unchecked and checked Jaksta Screen Recorder and Jaksta Music Recorder.  But Jaksta Media Recorder does not appear there.  How do I add it?

Thanks,

Paul

Hi Paul,

Very sorry for my overdue reply.

Sometimes apps do not appear in the permissions-lists until something prompts the system to ask for it. In this case you might be able to trigger it by turning the 'Add to iTunes' setting in the Preferences for Jaksta off and then back on.

If that doesn't do it then a basic reinstall - uninstall (delete from Applications), reboot, reinstall - might do the job. If not, then perhaps a full reinstall will as this would be effectively a full reset on Jaksta, I can guide you through this process if needed.

A good indicator is when you get the popup in the top-right corner asking if you want to 'Allow' or 'Don't Allow' an application the ability/permission to do certain things, eg. send notifications etc.
