Hi Karl,
Something you can check is the proxy settings that Jaksta uses.
If you go into System Preferences > Network > Advanced > Proxies and view the Web Proxy (HTTP) and Secure Web Proxy (HTTPS) settings, they should be both the same as seen below. You can manually adjust them if they are not correct. If they do not match, then that would suggest they are not configured properly and may cause the connection to break.
These two settings should both be active when Jaksta monitoring is ON and deactivated when monitoring is OFF. If you toggle the ON/OFF switch in Jaksta then you should be able to see the proxy settings also go on and off.
If there are no issues there then you could try a basic reinstall - uninstall (delete from Applications), reboot, reinstall
If the problem continues can you please supply a screenshot of the error that you are getting? Also, please let me know if there are any other factors such as the use of a VPN or security software.
