Hi Jackson,

Are you getting any particular errors? How is it not working? Please provide screenshots of anything relevant.

Hello there

thank you for getting back to me

For any website I access after turning on Jaksta, it shows the scene as per screenshot, then all the internet connection is loss.

Previously internet connection is only loss when Jaksta is turn off, however it is now off directly after Jaksta is turned on, which i'm not able to access nor conduct any download from any sites.

Hope to hear some help from you. Thank you

Hi Jackson,

Can you please do the following:

  1. Open Keychain Access and go to: System Keychains (left menu heading) > System (left menu item) > Certificates (top menu item)
  2. Double click the applian.com certificate to open the information
    • If the certificate is not listed then stop here and see "Potential Outcomes" listed below
  3. Expand the 'Trust' section and check the "When using this certificate:" value
    • Manually set it to 'Always Trust' if it is not already
  4. Find and check the 'Not Valid Before' and 'Not Valid After' dates, which will be about 20 lines down in the 'Details' section, and ensure that the certificate is valid based on those dates
    • Take a screenshot of the 'Trust' and 'Details' sections (down to the bottom of the 'Not Valid...' values) and attach it here

Potential outcomes:

  • Everything looks to be in order and no changes are needed - we can try something else to resolve the issue
  • You change the Trust properties of the certificate to 'Always Trust' - try running Jaksta again and see if it works
  • The applian.com certificate is not listed - I can then provide instructions for you to generate one

Hi Jackson and Witoon,

If the certificate is not listed in Keychain Access, please try the following:

  1. Run Jaksta Media Recorder and make sure the monitoring is ON
  2. In a browser go to: http://localhost:3129/jaksta.cer
    • Firefox is recommended
  3. An option should appear to save the certificate (see image below)
  4. Click OK and the certificate should appear in Keychain Access
  5. Try using JMR again

If that doesn't resolve it, then try the following:

  1. Open Keychain Access and go to: System Keychains (left menu heading) > System (left menu item) > Certificates (top menu item)
  2. Double click the applian.com certificate to open the information
  3. Expand the 'Trust' section and set the "When using this certificate:" value to "Always Trust" (if it is not already)
  4. Try using Jaksta again

Hi Jackson,

It's probably just a standard download failure. Can you provide a link to the problem video/site so that I can test it?

If login credentials are required and you are comfortable with it, please send them privately to support@jaksta.com.

Hi Liam,

Appreciate your prompt reply.
I've tried several download from the sites but everything seem to be empty file.
Previously I manage to record file from musicbed via safari (not google chrome) ; but now can't on either

Here's the site : www.musicbed.com
If you would like to try a specific one : https://www.musicbed.com/songs/good-good-day/31514

Hi Jackson,

I was able to get successful downloads in Safari. They were only 30 seconds long, but I suspect that is because that's the length of the previews it lets you listen to without being signed in.

I would imagine I'd be able to get the whole song if I was signed in. You can try doing the capture in a Private window in Safari and see if that helps maybe...

Hi Liam,

Thank you for trying out.
You're result is absolutely normal and that's how I usually work with Jaksta.

I've try restart my computer and the result still the same (as per attach) where there's no file size after the download and the downloaded file is not playable.

I went back to Keychain Access again but the applian no longer there. I’m pretty sure I selected  always trust previous.

Do i need to redo the certificate again? FYI I’m no longer able to re-do the steps below as the link doesn't valid.

"
In a browser go to: http://localhost:3129/jaksta.cerFirefox is recommendedAn option should appear to save the certificate (see image below)

Hi Jackson,

That's very odd if the certificate went missing on it's own. Normally some kind of intentional action is required for it be deleted.

If you're sure it's not there then yes you will need to get a new one. That link does still work, but Jaksta needs to be running with monitoring turned ON. Otherwise it will just appear as a dead link.
