Jaksta

The app says its recording and when the stream ends the file errors out and I get nothing. This happens on Stripchat as well... well SC just errors out on the url. and you cant use the dvr function because when trying to login it detects you as a robot.and does not let you login past the age verification

Please fix this, or give us a work around that works, a lot of us purchased the app for this reason.

Here's a workaround. Set the HLS Downloader to FFMPEG. Recordings will still end "broken" but this time they will still have all the data. Then convert the broken recording within Jaksta (using the right click menu) to anything else, and the converted recording will work. It's a pain but it's better than nothing.

Oops I miss part of the fix...

Also check: Go to Settings → Internet Downloads → Advanced → Site Specific and look for a chaturbate.com entry. If it exists with "flv" as the file extension, delete it. CB no longer uses FLV and that entry actively interferes with HLS recording. After any JMR update, check both settings again as updates have been known to re-add the FLV entry and reset HLS mode back to HLSD.

thanks, this workaround works... unfortunately the powers that be obviously dont see this as ah problem

The past couple of days even the workaround is really messing up.  At least before I could eventually get a video stream that would record without disconnecting.  Now I'm lucky if it captures anything for more than a few minutes without failing back over and starting the russian roulette all over again.  Is there nobody that works for this company that's smart enough to fix anything?

Unfortunately support has gotten worse as time has gone by.  Broken installers, features that no longer work properly and support that is next to non-existent.  Applian has done a wonderful job making this product an untenable solution for the present or the future.
