I recently changed internet provider and now when I use
jaksta media player,
I am having to go via a VPN and after about 15 minutes it
stops working.
And sometimes the program crashes. The message I get is Jaksta
media cannot connect to the internet. Please insure it is not blocked by your
firewall. The remote name could not be resolved Jaksta.com.
I have turned off
windows defender and still have the same problem. Could you please assist.

Hello, I am a user just like yourself, I don't work for Jaksta. I just want you to add a bit more detail to your post to see if I and others can help you.
Please confirm that your problems appear when you use the Jaksta Media Player. You are not trying to record or convert anything, just play?
You say you are "having to go via a VPN". Can I ask what VPN you are using?
For some reason, Internet name resolution does not seem to work properly in your setup, which the program reports to you as "remote name could not be resolved". In some VPN setups, names like "Jaksta.com"are still resolved by the ISP. VPN people would call this a "DNS leak". Most VPN providers attempt to prevent this to hide the names your programs resolve from the ISP and instead attempt to resolve names on their server, i.e., if your VPN connection is to a VPN server in Dallas, server names will be resolved in Dallas. If this doesn't work properly, you may have a problem with the VPN or its setup.
