Have you tried Potplayer? It sees to read the strangest streams.
@Magnus Wester, thank you for the suggestion. I just installed it and I still get an error when playing it after recording from Jaksta. I will keep the player installed however, for any other strange streams.
I would still like to know why Jaksta will not properly record it so players can read it.
I'm just a user like yourself so let's hope the developers read this and do what they can. However, my experience is that stream recorders rarely tamper with the stream, it requires quite a lot of CPU to modify stream data in real-time.
I don't think AVC + AAC is such a strange combination but I have had such streams rejected by more than one media player so there appears to be settings for them that make them difficult to decode. I think you should consider the possibility that the source deliberately designed the stream to be difficult to record.
You could try converting the stream with a tool like Handbrake or FFmpeg, but they are likely to reject it too.
I completely understand that thought process and I have tried many players and have realized that some cam sites change their streaming to make it more difficult.
The funny thing is, I found another recorder that does out of the box record 5 minutes worth of Stripchat (trial mode) and it plays back perfectly.
I think there is probably a way to capture it correctly in Jaksta, there are just so many settings. lol
And yeah, I might try converting it as well, see what happens.
Thanks again!
You can set Settings > Internet Downloads > Preferred Download Format to Any, which may give the downloader a lot more options if there are multiple available formats of the stream.
You can also try the Prompt setting to manually check each available format of the stream and pick the one that works best.
Ahh good suggestion, I will try that out soon and let you know. Thanks!

Hey everyone,
I was wondering if anyone else has this issue or a fix for this site. It always records (downloads) the streams from StripChat and even completes them without error, however when I go to play them back with any software, like VLC or MPC-HC, it tells me it can't render the file at all. I usually update my codecs regularly.
Tested again just now, same thing:
Video Codec: avc1.42c01f, 640x480
Audio : AAC LC
I appreciate any help!
Thanks
