Hi Paul,
Do you know what recording mode you were using? If it was the Smart or Window modes that rely on detection of a window or video then it may be that something disrupted it and compromised the recording.
My suggestion would be to try using Region mode. It's about as basic as a recording function can get, but because of that it is also the least likely to have issues.

Support Migration
Using Jaksta Screen Recorder I tried to record a 90-minute BBC program. I ended up with a 12-minute recording that just captured snippets here and there. I recorded the first minute of the program and that went well. Then I tried to record the first 10 minutes and it stopped recording after 5 minutes and 30 seconds.
I'm using Jaksta Screen Recorder 2.2.5 on a Mac running macOS Mojave Version 10.14.6. The program I'm trying to record is at https://www.bbc.co.uk/iplayer/episode/m000zhgd/imagine-2021-tom-stoppard-a-charmed-life
I was accessing the program using Firefox version 92.0 (64-bit).
