Settings > Internet Downloads. Look at which Network Monitors you have installed and are using.
Use Add/Remove programs to uninstall the ones you have installed, reboot and then install only Npcap using the link on Settings > Internet Downloads.
Ensure your machine has successfully installed all Windows Updates. Look in your event log for failures and other apps crashing. Rectify those issues.
Run the system file checker tool: https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/topic/use-the-system-file-checker-tool-to-repair-missing-or-corrupted-system-files-79aa86cb-ca52-166a-92a3-966e85d4094e. Rectify those issues.
If still happening:
Please provide msinfo32 dump as per https://www.jaksta.com/support/windows/technical/jaksta-media-recorder/how-to-generate-debug-logs-6000009063
Please note that these AUTO related crashes are always windows update related. Ie Windows Updates have failed to install correctly and left the machine in an unstable state.
Ok, since this i a big task for me, i just found time today to look into it (Still many AUTO crashes on every device (even a complete new one).
In Event Viewer, Windows Logs, Application i found that for every crash of JMR AUTO there is
.NET Runtime Error (and i hope the following helps for a solution, because otherwise this would take me hours i think)
so here is what i found from this error (1026) and after these 4 entries i bring up the JMR error connected crash

That is very strange as it is showing .NET v4.0.30319 in those errors, but JMR is a .NET 4.5 application and this is checked during installation.
Ensure you have 4.5 installed correctly. You can download from https://www.microsoft.com/en-au/download/details.aspx?id=42642
So after some tries im back:
i cant install 4.5 because it says its already 4.5 or higher
Computer\HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\NET Framework Setup\NDP\v4\Full
brings up Release REG_DWORD with entry 80ff4 (528372)
with stands for 4.8 installed .NET as of this help page
i did everythink from your first answer:
said some repairs but everything successful.
just installed all quality upgrades from windows so im up to date
since it seems like the .NET is alright but it already was, i just made the ms32
this is for main machine
now i go on new machine and try same things
oh and forget to add, the microsoft recommended github tool about .NET gave me this
https://github.com/jmalarcon/DotNetVersions/releases
from CMD:
Currently installed "classic" .NET Versions in the system:
2.0.50727.4927 Service Pack 2
3.0.30729.4926 Service Pack 2
3.5.30729.4926 Service Pack 1
4.0.0.0
4.8.04084
And i have to confirm, that AUTO crash is still happening on both machines after all repair processes and telling me its 4.8 installed - i think reinstall would not help because on new machine i installed jaksta just one week ago under win 11 :(
oh i dont see my response with a msinfo32 attached, did you get it?
Could you please try out this beta: https://jaksta.s3.amazonaws.com/release/jak8/JMR/2022.3.10.0/JMR-2022.3.10.0.exe
Let me know if you still get crashing happening.
installed on new machine, i report if it crashes or if like 2 days are without mistake - Thanks!
ok sorry had some trouble last few days but i tested it and no more crash - thank you very much!
this was the biggest problem with JMR since jmr 7 times actually did my jmr just check randomly for the wrong version or so?
Thanks anyways (on new machine) beta works!
main machine is still to test but i think there wont be the problem, ill do if i get time
Sadly im back, i just tried on my main machine a few minutes ago to go into AUTO and it still crashed at the start (thats a different behavior from what you have fixed and probably only on this machine). here is the event log from this.

Im not sure if it is cut off, or how i can see this, i exported this into .evtx and .txt from EventViewer
Doesn't show anything, unfortunately. Is there another event before or after this one that is related?
Support Migration
I really need help - debug is not possible because the problem is that JMR just crashes.
At this point i expect JMR to crash as soon as i start AUTO the first time of the day - just now i had the sad record of needing 30 minutes until JMR AUTO started working!
What can i do?
The 2 problems are that it is only rare luck to get AUTO started and if its working it can crash at any time (normally expect a crash after 2 hours max!)
when it crashes this way i lose my internet connection until i reopen JMR or delete the created Proxy in windows settings.
Idk much about proxy but AUTO creates one and at this point its nearly unusable.
I downloaded test version on 2 other machines. everywhere JMR can crash like random but only on my main machine its having problems to even connect.
The normal connection time JMR AUTO needs is 8 minutes. (on other machine it works instant)
JMR AUTO can also crash without any other application active: start windows, start JMR, start AUTO, wait 3 min, crash
its the exact same crash always first freezes and window cant be targeted. after 10-30 sec app closes itself and kills all active video or stream connections (and all other connections)
What can i do? Something to change how the proxy gets created or some other settings?
Pls help
