What process is using your CPU when your monitoring is on?
This is because the whole monitor's program gets unpacked to the temp folder each time it runs *bunch of files) with a new directory like _MEI1234 etc. This causes windows defender to scan loads of files each time a monitor fires causing delays in the monitor and a 30% CPU overhead when Antivirus is enabled.
You cannot add wildcard to the Defender's exclusion list from the GUI. But from an admin command prompt add: add-mppreference -ExclusionPath "C:\Users\username\AppData\Local\Temp\_MEI*" replace username with your actual user name.
This will solve your CPU problems. Run 20 monitors at a time problems.
The last couple of extraction engine updates come unpacked and shouldn't be unpacking to the temp folder.
Ensure you have Get Support > Check for new version on start switched on so you always get the latest.
