You most likely need a german IP (use a vpn) with this to recreate the issue as foreign IPs most likely cannot watch this. I have a dedicated server in germany running windows 10 and connect to it via RDP.
It is a free site. no account is needed. pubic german private TV station network.
when I paste the url into jaksta (latest version 7.3.1) for download it recognizes the HLS and downloads in 720p however the video is missing the sound.
if that would be done in DVR mode the resolution and quality would suffer a lot since it never gave me proper framerate, plus artifacts and not even 720p in dvr mode with wmv files (who uses wmv still? on modern media boxes made for mp4, mkv and alike ?).
this is an unprotected HLS stream. though video and audio is most likely in two separate streams where jaksta is only detecting the video stream and hence not muxing the two together.
this is the video HLS url jaksta downloads based on above entered url taken from the downloaded file properties window in jaksta:
same files are interrupted by commericals which is shown in parts as numbers under the video which can be clicked. or in the playlist there are multiple parts which autoplay once after the other.
the URL in the browser does not change though when clicking on the numbers under the video or the 2nd, 3rd, etc parts of season episodes.
so there is not really a direct url given to those multi parts of shows (split by commercial) or episodes of series.
jaksta would only detect and grab the first one of a playlist.
Please advise how to record those and best please implement those very popular in germany tv station public DVR website into jaksta for a better URL support.
Best regards,
Matt

Hello,
You most likely need a german IP (use a vpn) with this to recreate the issue as foreign IPs most likely cannot watch this. I have a dedicated server in germany running windows 10 and connect to it via RDP.
the video here plays fine in the browser with sound, the download however is a 720p HLS file without any audio track: https://www.sat1gold.de/film/der-weihnachtskrieg/2017-der-weihnachtskrieg-ganze-folge
It is a free site. no account is needed. pubic german private TV station network.

same issue I had with other stations in the pro 7 / sat 1 group. they all use the same streaming it seems.
e.g.
https://www.kabeleins.de/videos
https://www.prosieben.de/video
https://www.sat1gold.de/video
https://www.sat1.de/videos
