Whilst I'm not familiar with NowTV, if you're using the DVR capture method then the DVR is recording what is presented in the player. If it is jerky (because of network slowness for example) then the DVR recording will capture that jerkyness.
Netflix is adaptive (changes quality based on network speed) and can only be captured with the DVR. Whilst BBC iplayer can be captured with the DVR method it is best captured using the stream downloader method, either via AUTO detection or entering the url of the video page directly. You will be prompted for the different qualities they offer.

Also trying to try Jaksta on a trial, but struggling to get the software to record what I am watching on the screen just says it "queued" Thanks
As per the previous response, we are not familiar with TV Now, but the DVR works for pretty much everything.
Change to the DVR capture method (camera) and then open the DVR browser (globe button).
In the DVR Browser navigate to TV Now, login and go to the video you want to record, start playing it and click the red record button.
If it doesnt work then pPlease provide debug logs as per https://support.jaksta.com/discussions/topics/6000009063.
If you would like us to test out TV Now as per above please send login details to support AT jaksta.com and reference this post.
Thanks for the response.
The trial of the program does that just allow 1 minute of screen capture to be recorded??
