Hi Bernard,

Simply put, a recording should start and in most cases won't stop until you end it. If that's not what you're experiencing then something is going wrong.

Can you give me a description of what is occurring when you attempt to start a recording?

The produced file containing the recording should end up in the file destination set in Preferences (in Jaksta Screen Recorder) > Advanced > Recording Destination. You can get to this file either by manually navigating to it in Finder, or by right-clicking on the recording listed in the main screen of Jaksta Screen Recorder and selecting 'Show In Finder'.
