I tried to open "Settings" to change download folder and when I do I get the error as below

Looks like some COM component on your machine is no longer registered.  The screen recorder and WMP integration are all done via COM.  Try reinstalling.

Also by the look of the screenshot you are using an old version of JMR.  Upgrade to JMR6 as that is on the only supported version.  The upgrade is free.
