Playing multiple instances of Jaksta Media Player

I've noticed that when I have JMRecorder open and I double click on files that I have downloaded, it will bring up a separate instance of JMPlayer for each file that I open.  I think that is great, but it only works if I open files from JMRecorder.  I would like to be able to do this for all files that I have associated with JMPlayer  (files that are not in JM Recorder).  Is there a way to do this?

You will need to change your file associations to remove the --started-from-file parameter for both the "Play with" and "Open".

The easiest way to do this is using the registry editor - regedt32.

Foreach of the HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT\JakstaMP.* folders look in shell\Open\Command and sheel\PlayWithJakstaMP\command folders and edit the Default key to remove "--started-from-file"

I actually solved my own question by noting that JMPlayer looks a lot like VLC.  The below link shows how to have multiple instances of VLC running and the same settings work for JMPlayer:
